Skill-Based Competition Platform
ClutchPlay operates as a skill-based, peer-to-peer competitive gaming platform. The platform allows users to create and join head-to-head matches in approved video games where players compete directly against one another.
Gameplay takes place on users’ own consoles or PCs, and match outcomes are determined solely by the skill and performance of the players involved. ClutchPlay does not operate, host, or modify gameplay. The platform also does not introduce chance-based mechanics such as random draws, dice rolls, or probability-based outcomes.
Eligibility
To use ClutchPlay and participate in competitions, users must meet certain eligibility requirements. Participants must be at least 18 years of age, ordinarily resident in Australia, and may only maintain a single account on the platform. Users must also comply with all platform rules and applicable laws when accessing or using ClutchPlay.
To maintain platform integrity and compliance, users may be asked to verify their identity, location, or payment details where necessary.
How Matches Work
Members may create or join matches using approved games and modes that meet the platform’s skill-based criteria. A match begins when one user creates a competition with a fixed entry fee and another user accepts the challenge.
Both players connect to their Twitch account and stream their gameplay during the match to allow for independent verification if required. Once gameplay is complete, both players submit their results through the platform. If the submitted results match, the system resolves the match automatically.
Entry fees are placed in escrow once the match begins. Before the match is locked in, users may cancel participation within a 10-minute cancellation window for a full refund.
Dispute Resolution
If players submit conflicting results, the match may be marked as disputed. In these situations, ClutchPlay reviews the recorded gameplay streams to determine the correct outcome based on the relevant game objectives and fair play rules.
Our team aims to review disputes and determine outcomes as promptly as possible, typically within seven business days.
Fair Play and Responsible Participation
ClutchPlay is designed for both casual and competitive players who want to test their skills against others in a structured environment. Members are expected to participate responsibly and maintain good sportsmanship when using the platform.
Behaviour that undermines fair competition—including cheating, collusion, or intentional manipulation of match outcomes—is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or termination. Users are also responsible for ensuring they access the platform from a location where participation is lawful and for complying with all applicable platform rules.
Payments and Platform Fees
Users may deposit funds into their ClutchPlay account using approved payment methods. Once a match begins, the applicable entry fee is deducted from each participant’s account balance and held in escrow for the duration of the match.
After the match is resolved, the winner receives the combined entry fees less a 10% platform service fee retained by ClutchPlay for facilitating the match and operating the platform.
Deposits and Withdrawals are processed using the available payment methods on the platform. Payment providers or financial institutions may apply their own transaction or transfer fees when processing deposits and withdrawals. These fees are separate from and outside the control of ClutchPlay.
Deposits and withdrawals are generally processed within several business days, although processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
ClutchPlay may delay or refuse payments where there are concerns regarding fraud, chargebacks, or unauthorised funding sources.
Privacy and Data
ClutchPlay collects and processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. This information may be used for purposes including account verification, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and customer support.
Users may also receive service-related communications and optional marketing communications. Marketing communications can be opted out of at any time.
Compliance
ClutchPlay is committed to operating a secure and compliant platform for competitive gaming in Australia. We implement reasonable measures designed to protect the integrity of the platform, including identity verification procedures, payment monitoring, and gameplay verification processes.
These measures help reduce fraud, maintain fair competition, and ensure the platform operates responsibly. Where necessary, users may be asked to verify their identity, payment method, or location to maintain platform integrity and compliance with applicable laws.
